I have not stopped thinking about the new Death and Birds post called “embers” in the last few days. I have caught myself asking how Chloe came up with the line “The universe is under no obligation to make sense to me" to "existence forms a web, not a ladder" to “What awaits is a Daliesque landscape, where breathtaking despair plays chess with love, and hopelessness waltzes with truth”
As I sat down this evening and recorded this, I thought, “How can someone write like this?” to “How can I write this?”
Ever since I have been on this app, each new post from D&B snaps me back into the feeling of wanting to become a better writer and, hopefully, someday to recall and tell my story the way I hear Chloe tell hers.
This is a thank you to Chloe.
This is a thank you to Death & Birds.
